The items accepted on this letter have been forwarded to Laurel for further consideration, where we expect they will be decided on in February 2012

While I'm concerned about documenting the Grecian name being made into a Roman cognomen, I'm willing to take chance.

Per fess embattled gules and azure, three plates and in base a compass rose argent.

We note that the compass rose may be one SFPP.

The device was re-drawn to show a proper chrysanthemum. The blazon was corrected for the tincture of the sexfoil.

Two points were raised:
1. The claim that the given name is a German variant based on a Swedish name in Gillespie.
2. The pronunciation would require the hard "(c)k" ending.

Given that the submitter allows minor changes, we are modifying the given name to the form found in Gillespie.

We have been unable to recreate the links cited on the Pennsic worksheet. However, we forward this in hopes that the learned CoA members will be able to help us.
I believe that the mogen David is accepted as a charge that, in essence, is not considered to be voided, just as a triquetra is not considered to be voided. Thus, this should not be subject to the precedent cited by Ary. We'll see what Laurel says.
