1. Ylaire le Enguigniur New Name Change.
Ylaire Saint Claire
No Major Changes
Her previous name, Ylaire le Enguigniur, was registered 09/2011. Her previous name is to be released.

Ylaire - previously registered to the submitter. An Index to the Given Names in the 1292 Census of Paris by Scott Catledge (SCA: Colm Dubh) (http://heraldry.sca.org/laurel/names/paris.html cites one Dame Ylaire la lingière.

Saint Claire - Dauzat, s.n. Saint, shows Saint-Clair as a surname. Also, Dauzat, sn Clair, supports the feminization to Claire. Dauzat Rostaing, s.n. St.-Clair, cites numerous examples of place-names featuring the saint's name. S-gabriel.org, report # 2760 <http://www.panix.com/~gabriel/public-bin/showfinal.cgi/2760.txt> states in part that "dropping the preposition de was increasingly common in the 16th century, especially outside the nobility where the literal meaning of the surname had been lost a century or more before."

NOTE: The submitter WILL accept "Saint Clair", but will NOT ACCEPT "de" being added.
2. Ragnar Gunnarsson Resubmitted Name.
Ragnar Gunnarsson
Submitter asserts that he submitted previously under the name Aric in approximately 2008.
Ragnar - Lind, c. 838, s.n. Ragnarr, cites this spelling as a nominative form.
Gunnarsson - Lind, c. 404, s.n. Gunnarr, cites Gunnars as the genitive form. This plus -son produces the patronymic.
3. Faelan mac Colmain Resubmitted Name.
Faelan mac Colmain
His previous submission, Faolán Mer was returned at Laurel in March 2011, for conflict with Fáelán Mer.

Faelan - Mari, Index of Names in Irish Annals: Fáelán / Faolán <http://medievalscotland.org/kmo/AnnalsIndex/Masculine/Faelan.shtml>, cites the name to 665.

Colmain - Mari, Index of Names in Irish Annals: Colmán <http://medievalscotland.org/kmo/AnnalsIndex/Masculine/Colman.shtml>, cites the genitive form.

NOTE: The historical Faelan mac Colmain, rí Laigen is noted in the Annals of Laigen<http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlkik/ihm/leinst3.htm>. However, we do not believe he is important enough to protect.
