Letter of Intent #40
Auvere de Ver
Greetings,
Here are my comments on ILoI #A40, I hope they help.
Comments on AEthelmearc Internal Letter of Intent A40 (14 Feb 00)
1. This device may conflict with Caitlin O hAodha's device "Vert ,
a
chevron and in base a fleur-de-lys all within a bordure Or."
11. A very nice device!
13. I believe a decresent is a cresent with the points facing
dexter. As
drawn I believe it should be blazoned "Azure mulletty Or, a crescent
argent,
and issuant from chief a demi-sun Or."
16. Another very nice device, however I wonder about the pile as I
have only seen them extend from the top to the bottom, but never just
halfways. I was wondering if it was acceptable?? To me it looks more
like "Per chevron inverted wavy azure and Or, in chief a fleur-de-lys
sable and in base a lion couchant Or." (It may just be me??)
17. I will venture the plate makes the charge appear as if it were
on an
Argent field. In addition, I believe that Falcons and Hawks have a
default
posture of close and therefore do not need to be blazoned as such (as
this
default position is an identifying characteristic of the charge (i.e.
if a
hawk was shown displayed it would/could be interpreted as an eagle
(which is
usually shown displayed)).
