Letter of Intent #43
Myrkaelinn Commenting Group

Greetings unto the Garnet Herald from Bertran de Mellegwenn, Myrkfaelinn Pursuivant. Following are the comments of the Myrkfaelinn heraldry group on ILoI #AE43. Contributors on this letter are Bertran de Mellegwenn and Lord Lyev Davidovitch.

#8. We think the default arrangement of the two cats would be in fess. If the client wants them in pale, this should be specified in the blazon.

#10. Jolyon Draeger bears: Plummety argent and vert, a unicorn passant purpure.

There's one difference for the field treatment, but does the reversal of direction count as a second?

#11. There are possibly two wierdnesses here. The two sources cited differ by six centuries, although one could probably document "the short" to other time periods. Secondly, Sueva Orsini (the citation for the first name) sounds Italian, while "the Short" is English. Perhaps it should be translated to an appropriate language? If I recall correctly, Pepin the Short was actually called (in his native French) Pepin le Bref.

Set down this 18th day of May by Bertran de Mellegwenn.
