An authentic British Knighthood is being offered on E-bay (Item #1444164391) Winning bidder gets a certificate, the right to put initials after their name, the hereditary right to pass it on to their descendants and invitations to all the Royal Hunts and Royal Teas that the English Chivalry get invited to. "Travelin' along there's a song that we're singin', come on get happy..." Keith Partridge would be a lot happier if someone found his pinky ring. Actor David Cassidy had a heraldic pinky ring stolen from his dressing room. It was a gift from his late father Jack Cassidy. He's offered a $50,000 reward for it's return. The ring has the Cassidy 'family arms' on it, "Per chevron sable and Or, two lions rampant and a boar counterchanged." Pictures of the ring and contact information can be found at http://members.tripod.com/~ryancassidy/crestring.html
A request: A couple of times now, I have decided to return a submission based on commentary pointing out a Laurel ruling. After my decision is published in the letter of report, I get additional commentary pointing out that the Laurel decision has since been overturned and the submission should be acceptable. Please. If you see that another commentator is citing an obsolete ruling, don't assume that I'll catch it. Don't wait for the letter of report to be published. Point it out to me. You don't have to write another entire letter. A one line e-mail will suffice.
As always, you are welcome to comment on all or any part of this letter.
E-mail is strongly encouraged. Send comments to: Dagonell Collingwood,

01.) Æthelmearc, Kingdom of - new badge
"Fieldless, a demi-grayhound rampant contourny argent collared gules sustaining on a torteau an escarbuncle argent."
"The badge was originally submitted to accompany 'The Company of the Sylvan Hounds' a guild to be registered to the Kingdom. The name was returned at the Kingdom level. Since that return, the name has been dropped completely and the badge will be registered to the Kingdom with the label 'Æthelmearc Hounds Coursing Guild'
There has been some controversy surrounding the original submission. The introduction of hounds coursing was done in a way which gave a few people the impression that the Kingdom was trying to create an order for animals. In actuality, the Crown wanted to provide an entertaining 'kick-off' to hounds coursing in Æthelmearc. I have attached a letter which goes into further detail on the matter from Countess Elina Einarsdottir who was Queen at the time, and is the founding patron of the guild (pce)
However, I must also accept some of the responsibility for the problems
these people have faced. I was the Court Herald where the introduction of
the guild took place. I had been Principal Herald for two months and was
still 'feeling my way' through the position. Had I been paying more
attention at the time, I would have advised the Crown to do the introduction
of the group in a different manner." -- Edmund Tregelles, Silver Buccle
Principal Herald.
