These are the Garnet decisions on items from ILoI Æ60. Thank you to everyone who commented on this letter: Elsbeth, Myfanwy, and the group from Pennsic (Bressal, Cnut, Gilles, Istvan, Jaelle & Roana)!
1. Aidan Gunn - Name and device accepted
Per saltire sable and gules, a wolf rampant argent charged on the shoulder with a Celtic cross sable.
2. Bainard Grey - Name and device accepted
Per pale sable and azure, two lions doubly-queued argent.
3. Cionaodh Gunn - Name and device accepted
Per chevron sable and Or, in base a phoenix gules.
Originally submitted as Cionaedh, this spelling was a mis-transcription; the spelling was changed to match the documentation provided. As there was debate over whether this armory was "per chevron" or "on a pile inverted" (with associated potential conflicts) the line of division has been redrawn to make it more clearly identifiable as a per chevron line.
4. Collys Bythesea – Badge pended
Argent, a palm tree bendwise sinister sable, a bordure wavy azure. There is confusion as to what the submitter really wants; she sent in paperwork for a badge with a palm tree and was later heard in passing to be talking about her "badge with the popinjay on it." We will consult further with the submitter.
5. Elena de Duglas – Name accepted
6. Elspeth Turnbull – Badge accepted
(Fieldless) A winged talbot sejant Or.
Some commenters were concerned about the identifiability of this charge. It has been redrawn to address these concerns.
7. Emelyne le Tresor – Badge accepted
(Fieldless) Three linden leaves conjoined in pall inverted sable.
8. Eufrata Colyne – Name accepted
9. Genevieve de Cauldfont - Name accepted
Submitted as Genevieve de Caulde Font, the byname was changed in an attempt to construct a plausible period name that matches as closely as possible the submitter’s desired spelling.
10. Ian Campbell of Glen Mor – Badge accepted
(Fieldless) A wyvern's head erased contourny gules.
11. Lothar Hügelman - Name resubmission accepted
11. Màiri ni Raghaillaigh – Badge accepted
[Fieldless] An escarbuncle per pale argent and azure.
Her name was registered in 08/90. This badge was pended from AE58, as she already has four items of registered heraldry. We have communicated with the submitter, and she says that if this passes she wishes to release her badge, Argent semy of bees azure.
12. Quintin Wynn - Name and device accepted
Vert, on a chevron between three wolves' heads erased argent the phrase "Non Sibi Sed Todo" sable, a bordure embattled Or.
13. Rouland of Willowbrooke - Name and device accepted
Quarterly gules and Or, a cross fleury counterchanged.
14. Sara Charmaine of Falkensee - Change of device (resubmission) accepted
Per chevron ermine and gules, on a chevron Or between two gowns purpure and two needles in saltire points to chief and threaded by a single needle, three coronets purpure.
15. Tarquin Turnbull – Badge accepted
(Fieldless) A bull's head erased gules.
Some commenters were concerned by the lack of internal detailing; detailing has been added.
16. Valentine de Peregoy - Device resubmissison accepted
Or, a unicorn rampant contourny sable within a bordure embattled gules.
17. Victoire d'Ardres – Name accepted
