Unto my colleagues Ailis, Garnet; Roana, Cornelian; and Cadell, Jewel, Greetings!
Follows my commentary on February's Letter:
Numbers 1-10 and 13, I have no comments.
# 11. Robert of Worcester -- Device
As drawn, I would Blazon this: Purpure, a bendlet argent between two crosses Or within a bordure argent (of the second?).
a. This is definitely a "bendlet"; especially when
compared to the other bends in this Letter. Have we
asked submitter which he desires?
b. Also isn't "Cross Couped" redundant in this case?
I've always considered a Cross to default to four arms
of equal length unless specifically designated as a
Latin Cross.
# 12. Thomas Von Hessen -- New Name
I believe Von Hessen would be the German form translatable into English as "of Hesse" or "from Hesse", Hessen being the German for Hesse.
