1. Blausa Korsakova - This may just be a result of the scanning, but I see no line for the chief on the mini.
Lovely name.

3. Gryphon's Keep, Shire of - I know of no English place names that are constructed based upon mythical animals. I do however know of examples of place names constructed from people's names. Flipping randomly through Ekwall I find <Kuyekeney> c1245 'Cuca's island' s.n. Cuckney; <Herierbi> 1241 'Herger's by' s.n. Harrowby; <Gripthorp> 1231 'Grip's thorp' s.n. Gribthorpe.
R&W s.n. Griffin date the name <Griffin> to 1130 and 1197, as well as <Grifin> 1148, <Grufin> 1285, and <Griffen> c1230.
<Keep> has been ruled SCA-compatible, even though there is no evidence that it was used in English place names:
"<Keep> has long been used as part of SCA branch names. The most recent registration is Crossrode Keep, Shire of (registered November 1999 via Ansteorra). This element is effectively regarded as SCA compatible as an element in an English place name. Given the forms in which it has been registered, spellings of the element Keep are registerable both as a separate element (such as Crossrode Keep), and as the final element in a compound place name (such as Northkeep). Registerable spellings include <Keep> and any alternate spellings which may be documented to period [Tristan Ravencrest, 11/01, A-Æthelmearc]"
So <Griffinskepe> or <Griffinskeep> is a registerable constructed place name.
4. Lyev Davidovitch - I'm not sure what the range of allowable emblazons of volant is, but this one worries me some with the amout of trian aspect it has.
This is probably clear of:
Isabella Benalcaacute;zar (reg. 12/93 via Atlantia)
Azure, a heron volant contourny, wings addorsed, between three harps
argent.
With a CD for type of bird, and a CD for the harps.
But it may conflict with:
William FitzGerald (reg. at some point)
Azure, in pale an albatross volant to sinister and a caravel proper
[Diomedea exulans].
With one CD for removing the caravel.
And with:
Petr Aleksivich of Novgorod (reg. 01/74)
Azure, semy of stars a naturelle, overall a hawk volant to sinister
argent.
With one CD for removing the 'stars a naturelle' (whatever those are... I sure hope they're not twinkly).

The 'ism means 'good, good-natured, generous.'
Are gophers found in Europe, or are they indigenous to America?
6. Sergei Bolotnikov - His name was registered 03/2002.
7. Thomas Lestrange - Lovely name.
8. Wilhelm Smydele von Solingen - Does Bahlow provide a date for <Solingen>? The URL for the given name is:
