Azure, a three-headed goose displayed argent and in chief five suns in fess Or.
This device is being returned for multiple conflicts.
It is in conflict with Francesca of Bright Angel (1/73), Azure, a dove displayed head elevated argent, with one CD for the addition of the secondaries but none for the type of bird, since both are in postures other than their typical period postures.
It may also be in conflict with House of Este (12/94), Azure, an eagle displayed argent crowned Or, with one CD for the addition of secondaries. We do not believe that there would be a second CD for type of bird.
Furthermore, we are concerned about the three-headed aspect of this bird. Alisoun's precedents state "The triple-headed eagle has been banned from use in the Society for nearly nine years because of its close association with the aspirations of the Holy Roman Empire. (05/88)" From Heraldicon, we have the following device return: "James of Worcestershire. Even with three heads that is much too much like the Imperial Eagle. A triple-headed eagle was reserved for the Holy Roman Emperor. Start over." Given that a goose displayed is not a period treatment of the charge, and that in period a bird displayed was synonymous with an eagle, the triple-headed goose displayed may be unregisterable even if the design were otherwise clear of conflict.
Argent, a chameleon statant contourny vert and on a chief embattled sable three hangman's nooses argent.
Per chevron throughout sable and argent, three Latin crosses pointed counterchanged argent and vert.
The blazon has been changed to more accurately represent the emblazon.
Gules, three frets couped argent and a chief Or.
Quarterly vert and argent, two wolves rampant vert.
Per bend sinister sable and Or, an oak leaf bendwise sinister and an ink bottle counterchanged.
This badge will be forwarded to Laurel on XLoI Æ78 with several other Thescorrian order names and order badges, so as to reduce the complexity of Laurel's file-handling.
