Letter of Intent #91
Aryanhwy merch Catmael
Greetings!
Here is my commentary on those two items:
1. Tancred of Thescorre - To add to this, R&W s.n. Tancred
has <Tancredus filius Bernardi>, <Tancredus de Witton>
1252, <John Tankred> 1389. They also concur with the
German origin.
Because he's using an SCA branch name, there's no way that this is an
11th-13th century Norman name, but since he didn't request
authenticity, there's no reason not to send this through.
2. Wilhelm Smydele von Soelinge - The closest I found was Edric
of Scardburgh (reg. 03/2002 via Atlantia), "Argent, a
double-horned anvil sable and on a chief vert a straight trumpet
Or." There is one CD for changing the chief to a bordure, and one
for removing the horn.
In service,
