Greetings from Garnet and Cornelian,
We would very much like to thank those who commented on these items: Aryanhwy merch Catmael and Myfanwy ferch Rhiannon!
The items accepted on this
letter have been forwarded to Laurel for further consideration, where
we expect
they will be decided on in September of 2006. The items numbered 1-6
appeared on out ILoI AE94 with the same numbers. Items that are here
numbered 7, 8 and 9 are resubmissions from earlier letters. We
concluded
that these last three items did not need to go out for kingdom
commentary. The first resubmission incorporates the suggestions of
kingdom commenters, and the last two items are administrative returns
which are being resubmitted without change.
1. Alasdair Waldgrave – New Name Accepted
2. Alheydis von Körckhingen – New Badge
Accepted with change of blazon
(Fieldless)
A key fracted and
conjoined chevronwise
Or.
The phrase "and conjoined" was added on the advice of commenters.
3. Finn Marland O'Shannon – Change of Device
Accepted
Azure, a chevron sable fimbriated between three wolf’s heads erased Or.
4. Iain Ard mac an Bhaird – New Name, New
Device Accepted
Quarterly sable and azure, a griffin couchant to sinister, wings inverted, Or maintaining a triquetra argent.
5. Tancred of Acre – Name Resubmission Accepted
6. Tuathflaith ingen
uí Chellaich – New Device Accepted as redrawn with corrected
blazon
Per bend sinister purpure and azure, a bend sinister argent between a sprig of three oak leaves bendwise Or and a stag’s head couped, a bordure argent.
This was published on the Internal Letter of Intent as Azure,
a bend sinister argent between
a sprig of
three oak leaves bendwise Or and a stag’s head couped, a bordure argent.
We re-conflict-checked the device with the correct field and found no
conflicts. Submitters expressed concern over the drawing of the stag's
head and
the narrowness of both the bordure and the bend sinister. We have
redrawn the device and corrected the blazon.
7. Camy Makcullocht of
Cardoness – Resubmitted Name Accepted
The item appeared on AE ILoI 93 as <Camy inghean Mhic Culloch of
Cardoness>. The submitter had requested authenticity to 16th century
Scotland, but had authorized only minor changes. The name was accepted
with minor changes and appeared on our XLoI 93 of April 20, 2006 as
<Camy inghean mhic Cullaich of Cardoness>. Upon further
consultation with the submitter, the name was withdrawn on AEthelmearc
Letter of Correction dated April 20, 2006. The submitter has revised
her submission to a fully Scots form, following the suggestions
presented in the commentary to ILoI 93. Because the revised name
reflects the findings of our commenters, we felt it unnecessary to
present the name yet again to the AEthelmearc College, and have elected
to submit it directly to Laurel on AE XLoI 94 with the items listed
above.
This item appeared on AE ILoI 88, was accepted at kingdom, and was returned by Laurel due to missing submission forms, which we have newly recreated. Because the submitted name has already appeared before the AEthelmearc College, and in order to remedy our administrative error as quickly as possible, we have elected to submit this item directly to Laurel on AE XLoI 94 with the items listed above.
9. Sabrina Godolphin –
Resubmitted Device Accepted
Azure a unicorn salient contourny, in chief five crosses clechy Or.
This item appeared on AE ILoI 88, was accepted at kingdom, and was returned by Laurel due to missing submission forms, which we have newly recreated. Because the submitted device has already appeared before the AEthelmearc College, and in order to remedy our administrative error as quickly as possible, we have elected to submit this item directly to Laurel on AE XLoI 94 with the items listed above.
This concludes our Letter of Report Æ 94 dated May 25, 2006.
