Documented from the Scrolls of the Reign of Magnus Tindal and Etain, Basileus Kai Æthelmearc: the Business of Their Court at Summer's End, 6 September Anno Societatis XLIX, in the Canton of Beau Fleuve, accompanied by Their Excellencies Carolus and Isolda, Baron and Baroness of Rhydderich Hael.  As recorded by Baron Fridrikr Tomasson, Gullskel Herald, aided by Mistress Matilda Bosvyle de Bella Aqua, White Conye Herald.

In the morning:

The Imperatori welcomed Master Augusto Giuseppe da San Donato into Their court. Master Augusto announced that Her Excellency, Countess Rosalinda of Castile and Lady AEmilia Soteria have achieved the rank of Huntsmen. The Imperatori congratulated them on their achievement.

The Imperatori welcomed THL Filipo da Sancto Martino and Baron Sogtungui Bataar into Their court. They then convened Their Imperial Council of the Pelican and instructed Filipo and Bataar to go to vigil to consider the Question of whether or not they would accept elevation to the Most Noble Order of the Pelican.

The Imperatori thanked all of those present for attending the event and said that They looked forward to a glorious day.

In the evening:

The Imperatori welcomed the children present into Their court. They spoke to the children and invited them to partake of the treasures contained in the Children's Casket.

The Imperatori gave Their Excellencies of the Rhydderich Hael leave to hold Their court.

The Imperatori welcomed Baron Caleb Reynolds into Their court. Baron Caleb, representing the Tribe of Tuatha Fieren, announced that the tribe will hold the War Practice Raffle for three more years. They seek volunteers to assume the role after that date.

The Imperatori welcomed Baron Friedrich Schwartzwalder to Their court. His Excellency spoke of his strong desire to field at least 40 combat archers at next year's Pennsic War and challenged more citizens of Æthelmearc to take up combat archery over the next year.

The Imperatori welcomed Baroness Arianna of Wynthrope into Their court. Her Excellency spoke of the upcoming Coronation and offered to accept reservations during the course of the day.

The Imperatori welcomed Lady Arsalan Egesig into Their court. They presented her with two copies of a document recognizing that Lady Arsalan, though living in the East Kingdom, will continue to be a citizen of Æthelmearc.

The Emperor demanded the presence of Lord Thorsol Hrafngreddir in His court. His Majesty presented a white leather garter, created by His Grace, Morguhn Sheridan adnd originally presented by His Grace to the Emperor, to Lord Thorsol in thanks for and recognition of his courtesy both on and off the field of battle.

The Imperatori welcomed Mistress Alianor de Ravenglas in Their court. Mistress Alianor spoke of the many fine entries in the day's Arts and Sciences competition. She then announced that the Imperatori had chosen THL Renata la Rouge as the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Champion. The Imperatori congratulated Her Ladyship on her victory. The Imperatori invited Johannes vahn Baerenwald into Their court. They spoke of his skill and leadership on the field, as well as his willingness to travel great distances to the northern wilds of the East Kingdom to practice his martial skills. They praised his valor and his courtesy, both on and off the field, and promoted him to the Order of the Golden Alce with an award of arms. Scroll by THL Zosia Kowalewska.

The Imperatori welcomed Master Brian of Leicester into Their court. They spoke of his talents as a poet and wordsmith. They noted his efforts in keeping the memories of past events in our kingdom. The Imperatori invited Lady Cordelia Colton into Their Court. They spoke with her of her service to the people of AEthelmarc, most especially to the children of our realm. They spoke of her service as event and demonstration steward. They then called for the Noble Order of the Millrind. They inducted Lady Cordelia into the Order and granted her arms. The Imperatori requested that the Order of Millrind remain in Their court. They then invited Baron Eric Grenier de la Barre into Their presence. They spoke of His Excellency's long service to the Barony of Thescorre as seneschal, web minister, fencing marshall, event steward, as well as his service as regional fencing marshall. The Imperatori then invited Lady Rois O'Faye to attend Them. They spoke of her service as event steward, cook, and coordinator of educational demonstrations. Further They spoke of her willingness to serve in any way that she can, and of her exemplary courtesy. The Imperatori dismissed Their Order of the Millrind, but asked THL Rois O'Faye to remain with Them for a while longer

The Imperatori requested the presence of the Noble Order of the White Horn in Their Court.

The Imperatori spoke with THL Rois O'Faye of her skill in the art of Thrown Weapons and of her leadership in the Thrown Weapons community. For her efforts, the Imperatori inducted THL Rois into Their Order of the White Horn. Scroll in progress.

The Imperatori requested that the Order of White Horn stay with Them for a moment longer. They then invited Lord Gunther Grunbaum into Their presence. They spoke of his skill at and service to the art of Thrown Weapons and inducted him into Their Order of the White Horn.

The Imperatori invited Dame Katryne of Bakestonden into Their court. They spoke of her gracious and manifold services to the Imperatori during Their reign and awarded her a Sigil of Æthelmearc.

The Imperatori invited THL Filipo da Sancto Martino into Their court. He entered, read into the Imperial presence by two members of the Heraldic Mafia. The Imperatori asked THL Filipo if he was prepared to answer the question which had been presented to him. His Lordship indicated that he was prepared to go forward. The Imperatori then invited Their Most Noble Council of the Pelican into Their presence. They then called for good folk to present testimony as to the worth of the candidate. Sir Sextus Plinius Callidus spoke of His Lordship's efforts on the field of combat and of chivalry and courtesy. Mistress Geirný Thorgrímsdóttir spoke of his service to the arts community and to his artistic endeavors. His Grace, Duke Maynard von dem Steine, spoke of His Lordship's valor and honor and courtesy. Her Grace, Duchess Dorinda Courtenay, spoke of His Lordship's service to all people of the realm. Her Grace, Duchess Líadain ní Dheirdre Chaomhánaigh, spoke of His Lordship's continuing service, most especially of his efforts as chronicler of Æthelmearc. The Imperatori, being pleased by the words They had heard, went forward with the elevation of His Lordship. He was clothed with a cap of maintenance and a mantle, as well as being invested with a medallion presented by His Grace, Duke Maynard & Her Grace, Duchess Líadain. He was also gifted with a medallion made by Her Excellency, Baroness Isolda filia Georgii, and with a Pelican Starter Kit by Master Brian of Leicester. The Imperatori invited Baron Sogtungui Bataar into Their presence. They asked His Excellency if he was prepared to answer the question They put to him at the Pennsic War. His Excellency answered that he was prepared to go forward. The Imperatori then asked for witnesses to His Excellency's worth. His Grace, Duke Malcolm Duncan MacEoghainn, spoke of his valor and efforts in service of the fighting community. Her Excellency, Viscountess Judith of Kirtland, spoke the words of Mistress Baga Aleea, who spoke of his dedication and service to the arts community. Her Grace, Duchess Tessa the Huntress, spoke of his courtesy and generosity, as did Her Excellency, Countess Rosalnda of Castile, the Delicate (ahem!) Flower of Æthelmearc. His Excellency, Viscount Bear the Wallsbane, spoke of Bataar's courtesy and his service to the kingdom as a whole. Finally, Her Excellency, Countess Alexandra of Clan Donald, spoke of his years of service to the office of the exchequer and to the kingdom, especially at the Pennsic Wars. The Imperatori decided that the words were strong and good, and that They would proceed. They called a robe of estate and for the medallion, which was a gift of Duke Malcolm. The Imperatori invited Her Excellency, Baroness Ekaterina Volkova, into Their court. They spoke of her many years of service to the Kingdom and Society, as scribe, member of the Watch, and countless other duties. They spoke of her quiet inspiration of many people. Because of these and many other things, the Imperatori named Baroness Ekaterina the 37th Jewel of Æthelmearc. Scroll by Mistress Ragnhildr Styrmisdottir Caithnes.

The Imperatori spoke to the attendees, thanking them for attending the event. They thanked Their Excellencies of the Rhydderich Hael and the event staff for their warm welcome and the excellent event.

There being no further business, the Imperial Court was closed.
